How to Use the Grade Calculator

1. Add Your Grading Categories

   • Click “Add Category” for each component of your grade (e.g., Exams, Homework, Projects).

   • For each category:

     • Weight %: Enter its importance (e.g., Exams = 50%, Homework = 30%).

     • Grade %: Enter your current score (e.g., 85% on Exams).

2. Calculate Your Final Grade

   • Click “Calculate” to see your overall grade.

   • The tool will:

     • Check if weights add up to ≤100% (error if exceeded).

     • Show your final % and a matching emoji (🎉 for A, 😭 for F).

3. Edit or Reset

   • Remove a category: Click the × button.

   • Start fresh: Click “Reset” to clear all inputs.

✔ Double-check weights – Ensure they total 100% or less (e.g., 50% + 30% + 20%).
✔ Missing grades? Leave a category blank, and the calculator will ignore it.
✔ Mobile-friendly: Tap fields to edit easily.

🚨 Troubleshooting

• “Total weight cannot exceed 100%!” → Reduce one or more weights.

• Red outlines → Fill in all required fields.

• No result? Add at least one category with both weight and grade.

Example Scenario

Want to know what grade you need on the Final Exam to pass?

1. Add categories for completed work (e.g., Homework: 30% weight, 80% grade).

2. Add the Final Exam with 50% weight but leave grade blank.

3. Click Calculate to see your current standing. Adjust the exam grade to test scenarios!
